Chuck Nessa Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Probably a CIMP based on the thanks to Bob Rusch in the scroll. Quote
relyles Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 It does not seem to be released yet. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 McIntyre was totally new to me prior to stumbling upon this thread. After watching the documentary, I'm curious as to when the album will be released and on what label. Yes, I wondered that too. Listening to Peace and Blessings which has just arrived on the back of people's recommendations here - Longineu Parsons immediately stands out - someone I've not come across before. Enjoying this disc, so thanks to those who mentioned it There was a fine Parsons compilation issued a few years back... SPACED on Ubiquity. http://www.ubiquityrecords.com/artists/LONGINEU-PARSONS.html Yeah, that was nice - I remember having it at the radio station I worked at in KS. Quote
Justin V Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Probably a CIMP based on the thanks to Bob Rusch in the scroll. Good thinking. I've emailed CIMP asking about it, so I'll post their response when I get it. Quote
Steve Reynolds Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 denial is a bitch especially with the girl peace and blessings Quote
Justin V Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 According to CIMP, it's coming out on CIMP "in the near future." Quote
peterintoronto Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 What a beautiful video. Kalaparusha is a living god to me. His ideas sprout so organically from his horn. Quote
Swinger Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I have Peace and Blessings and I love it Quote
mjazzg Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Received my copy of 'Reality...' that was purchased due solely to this discussion. Good heavens, why didn't I know this album sooner? What a marvelously realised work - McIntyre's playing is so deep, so soulful. Thanks to everyone who mentioned it on this thread. Quote
mjazzg Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 for those interested in more footage. this posted elsewhere "Hey...Danilo Parra here...This film has already come to help Kalaparusha. The money from the Guardian was split between him and I, and I am making DVD's of the film with some extra bonus footage that I will sell and split the proceeds with Kalaparusha as well." Quote
erwbol Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 The 2014 reissue of Kalaparusha - S.T. (CMC, Trio Records, POCS-9302) on SHM-CD contains a bonus track called Tanuki (according to CD Japan) not on the original LP. It is only mentioned on the back of the OBI. It's 8:55 long. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 Huh. I have the LP and it's absolutely excellent, but have not heard this extra track. I miss seeing him around. He was a nice man. Quote
