tranemonk Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 I heard a rumor on one of the other boards that there was always a plan for 2 Brookmeyer Selects.... Anybody know anything about this? Fact or fiction? What would be on it? ETA? Quote
Pete B Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 His Verves would be a natural. 6 titles, I think: Gloomy Sunday Modernity of BB The Blues Hot and Cold 7xWilder Samba Para Dos Trombone Jazz Samba Only Gloomy Sunday has been on cd before. Quote
jlhoots Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Me too. So that's at least 5 copies sold. Quote
Claude Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Running low! Many of the recent Mosaic full size box sets have consisted of Verve material, so there seems to be a readiness at Universal to license material to Mosaic (although under special agreements, the boxes being sold at retail stores too). But it could be that they want to keep the small box set (3CDs) business to themselves Quote
Bluerein Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Claude is spot on (as always). Universal only leases for the big Mosaic sets and not for the selects. Quote
tranemonk Posted July 4, 2005 Author Report Posted July 4, 2005 so as I mentioned... I heard this on another board... Anybody got an "in" over at Mosaic and want to ask, a) if it's true, b) what's on it and c) ETA? Quote
Bluerein Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I didn't hear anything about this and as I wrote it's not likely. Samba para Dos was just reissued in Japan (UCCV-9199). Quote
