Kreilly Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 I just picked up "Tribute to Lester" by the Art Ensemble of Chicago. I opened the cd and noticed that it has the name "Eric Clapton" spelled in silver letters across the front of the cd. It is an ECM silver pressed cd and the contents are the AEC trio recording in honor of the passing of Lester Bowie. What's up with Eric Clapton's name? Kevin Quote

GregK Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 I don't know about the lettering, but good purchase! One of my favorite recent discs. I could listen to As Clear As the Sun all day Quote

Guy Berger Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 My favorite Eric Clapton on ECM is the one he did with Keith Jarrett. Guy Quote
jazzbo Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 It's a silkscreening error in the plant. I've a few like that. One is one of the Cellar Door cds; the Miles info is inked over a Mariah Carey label! Quote
GregK Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Doesn't look like my copy. Mine looks like any other ECM disc Quote
