AmirBagachelles Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Like new condition. I am trying to get Ray Anderson's Cheer Up, or Azurety. Or Gerry Hemingway's Special Detail. Thanks, Dan Quote
JohnS Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 My Cheer Up went for $55 on ebay last month. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted June 16, 2005 Author Report Posted June 16, 2005 yikes, Jump Up cost me around $35. Thanks Quote
gnhrtg Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Wow, have you heard Cheer Up, Amir? It's good but not that good, I think. My copy is pretty roughed up anyway but let me know if no one bites and you haven't heard the music at all. Quote
king ubu Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Wow, have you heard Cheer Up, Amir? It's good but not that good, I think. ...← Same for Azurety, no? Don't know the Hemingway. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted June 17, 2005 Author Report Posted June 17, 2005 I have heard neither Ray A disc, I only have the big band Gramavision disc. Thanks, maybe I'll try for a CDR sampler before paying up with the Lyons as booty. It is such a drag wanting to hear numerous old Hat discs for so long (like 5+ yrs in some cases). I still haven't found a single soul who can turn me on to Cecil Taylor's Garden part one. Scarcity definitely seems part of the Hat strategy. I wonder how the artists with zero distribution feel about Werner at this point. Quote
JohnS Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 I didn't care too much for the Anderson, Doran, Bennink trio, much as I like Ray Anderson. The guitar was a little too much for me. Quote
