Ok, ok: enough of this narcissism from the band. Being B3er's dad, I don't say much on this board; rather I read what all you fine people have to say. However, let me add my bit.

I know Jim is killer 'cause I watched him grow up doing it. We were playing a couple gigs together (I play guitar) when Joe came into the picture. He simply blew me out of town!

Then, after a few pretty good drummers in pops the one and only Randissimo. Well, that completed what has become in my opinion a world class jazz trio and I lool forward to them making vast amounts of money so Jim can buy me that Cadillac I've been wanting.

Seriously, guys, I expect great things from you and I love you all.

I also thank the forces that be that I met Joe.  He's my musical brother, the McCartney to my Lennon! :)

I guess that makes you Ringo, Randy. :o

Dig it, Ringo and I share the same birthday! July 7th.. :D

I bought my copy a couple of months ago, and I just want to let you guys know that I still play this thing all the time. In fact, here it is, 6:08a.m, and it's playing as I type. Just a great cd that I've enjoyed hours on end. Thanks again guys for a great job.

PS: Looking back at this thread, I joined March 8, and I ordered the cd on March 9! You guys had me hooked from day 2 :w

One of my favorties off the cd has become Pre Dawn Rain, just dig the whole feel and the small but important touches. The way it starts with just Joe Glass and Randy Marsh, and it's a great touch that Randy stays with the brushes until Jim Alfredson comes in. Then Joe & Jim have some very nice unision parts behind Ron Blake's solo. It's a great tune that keeps growing on me. I can't think of too many other acoustic / organ numbers -- in fact, I really can't think of one now.

Gotta admit that I tend to favor the ballad pieces on the cd, such as "Lifewish" and "PreDawn Rain." Of course, I remember Randy's beautiful drumming on "Lifewish" in Ann Arbor when you guys played that. Good compositions Jim and Joe!

Will be coming down to BOP tomorrow (Friday.) Brian is coming with a friend separately. I'm still trying to drum up some people. People have dropped out in the last hour. Have to check with my sister. My wife says she doesn't like the organ (sorry Jim!--greatest jazz instrument too, but you can't convert the heathen! ^_^ ) There are a couple of fellahs who will be coming once they shut down their Allied record exchange store at 9:30. We won't be large in number but our voices will be HEARD!!

Sorry, but I don't think I can make the Saturday session, so save all the quiche for that date

We'll be expecting some heavy greaze and some soulful ballads on Friday! Can't wait!

Very late in the day I've finally bought this one through CD Baby (love their humorous customer service!).

What a wonderfully enjoyable CD. Real feel-good music. Like several above I especially like the ballads. But I found myself hopping up and down in the car to 'Clap Yo' Hands' today...I did keep my hands on the wheel!

My favourite is 'Decoder'. So many recordings have their key tracks early on. I love discs which save the best to last. That track really brings the CD to a great climax.

Well done all. I'll be much quicker in picking up the next one!

First post of 2004.

First post for me in this forum.

I've had "waiting for the boogaloo sisters" for some time now and have to agree with all the accolades expressed here.

The best way to hear this band is live. The best place to hear the band (in my opinion) is Founders, especially when many other players walk in with their cases.

Time for a vacation? May I make a suggestion...
