robviti Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I just thought I'd pass along this sale on my favorite cdr blanks from my favorite seller. Buy three 50 packs of Klone 80 Min cdr at their regular price ($19.96) and get a fourth 50 pack free. Actually, the 200 blanks will be shipped as two 100 spindles. Here's a link for more details: klone sale Quote
Guest Chaney Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Very tempting offer. Has anyone used Klone blanks and not liked their performance? (I usually use Mitsui Gold blanks but sure wouldn't mind spending less.) Quote
jazzydaddy Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Tony, my preferred CD-R blank is the Taiyo Yuden Silver. I have found them to give superior performance and at around 30 cents each they are a real bargain. Here's the product link on the Am-Dig site: http://www.american-digital.com/prodsite/p...nbrandedSpindle Don Chaney said: Very tempting offer. Guest Chaney Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Thanks Don. Yes: Mitsui / MAM = Klone All things being equal, I'm just wondering if the sale disks can match the sound quality of the golds. Quote

YMMV. BTW, the science seems to say that you wouldn't hear a sound difference between the two. The main reason the CD-R manufacturers started with gold is because it doesn't oxidize easily. Oxidation would render a disc unplayable over time, not bad sounding. Kevin Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 (edited) Are the Mitsui gold discs available at 80 min capacity? Also, where do you find 80 min Quantegy or whatever they are called now? Thanks Edited June 9, 2005 by AmirBagachelles Quote
