Guest mary mcgoon Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Did this CD come with an insert like the other discs in this series? The copy I got didn't have one. Usually it's a reproduction of the back cover of the LP jacket or of the inside gatefold if the LP was issued that way. With this record it's easy to read the notes on the back of the digipak so I thought maybe they didn't bother... or do I have to return it? Thanks. Quote
WD45 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I came to this section to ask the very same question. Mine had no insert, and I was alarmed right away. Do any albums in this most recent batch have liners? Quote
Guest mary mcgoon Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I have the Mulligan / Hodges CD from the same batch and this does have the insert. But maybe we've answered each other's question... Quote
P.D. Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I just commented on this in the Mulligan/Hodges thread.. guess it came without the insert.. maybe the disc should have cost $1.00 less than the Hodges, but hell, it does have the fake Obi strip Quote
WD45 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 The fake OBI does it for me every time. On a related note, this album is quite good! Quote
Out2Lunch Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 For reasons that I don't remember, I pre-ordered this from Amazon in Germany awhile ago and it came in about two weeks ago, it does have the insert with it. Quote

A German translation. or just an English translation of the English, like in the Hodges? Quote
Tjazz Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I picked up the CD from Tower Records in Marina Del Rey, CA and there were no inserts. Quote
davef Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 None on mine either and I got one in the Mulligan/Hodges as well... Quote
BruceH Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 My Mulligan-Hodges had no insert. (Don't think it really needed one though.) Sounds like they're slapping those inserts in at random on the new batch. Quote
Saint Vitus Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I got this one today and there was no insert. Quote

BruceH Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Just got The Easy Way last night---no insert in mine. Damn good album, though. Quote
BruceH Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Some of the previous issues in this series didnot have an insert either. I believe the insert is lacking when the text on the back is easily readable. I believe you're right, couw, and I've got to agree with that logic. Why kill more trees if you can already read the back just fine? Quote
Stefan Wood Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Except I go blind trying to read the fine print. It's legible, but not by any means ideal. Quote
