brownie Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 A lot of posts on this board have images. A number of these images come over the texts of the posters and renders the posts unreadable. Is there some way to circumvent the problem? And slow, very slow. I'm a computer dummy. Quote
Use3D Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Images are covering the actual body text of posts? What browser software are you using and what resolution is your monitor? These forums are best viewed at 800x600. Quote
brownie Posted June 27, 2003 Author Report Posted June 27, 2003 The browser is Netscape Navigator. Quote
Claude Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 This can be due to the prefered font you have set in your browser configuration. Try different standard fonts (Arial, MS sans serif, ...) Quote
jlhoots Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I have the same problem, also using a Netscape browser. Afraid the "explanation" is not understandable to me. Perhaps I'll try my Internet explorer browser & see if the problem "goes away". Quote
maren Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Hi -- for me, Internet Explorer keeps the pictures from covering the text, and also keeps all the text on the screen (don't have to keep scrolling right to read everything -- a tip from Jim aka B3-er) -- unlike Netscape. But now I'll try playing around with the resolution and preferred fonts in Netscape -- thanks Claude and Use3D for the suggestions. Quote
brownie Posted June 29, 2003 Author Report Posted June 29, 2003 Thanks for the all the tips. Since I'm posting from work, I will have a technician look into my problems and hope things will improve. Quote
