Yes, it may be depressing to read about Billie's drug bust, but this man has led an interesting life. He's not just a cop who hassled Billie Holiday, and I'm glad that you called attention to the article. There's no need to delete.

I found this article to be more interesting then depressing. He (Gilliard) sounds like a kind, big hearted guy with street smarts and business savvy. As for busting Billie and Ray, he was just doing his job. What really impressed me most (above and beyond his professional achievements) was to read that he visited Billie in the hospital, just before she died. Also, his commitment to the community.
