Hot Ptah Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Here is one from the early 1970s by the rock group Spooky Tooth: "You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw" I like some of Sun Ra's album titles: It's After The End of the World A Fireside Chat With Lucifer Some Blues But Not The Kind That's Blue God Is More Than Love Can Ever Be Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Here is one from the early 1970s by the rock group Spooky Tooth: "You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw" Pinched from a Les McCann tune? Track 1 on Les McCann at Shelley's Manne Hole: "She broke my heart (and I bust her jaw)". MG Quote

Ken Dryden Posted August 16, 2024 Report Posted August 16, 2024 Maybe we need a separate thread for best song titles. I would nominate "Huk2E" by Phil Woods and "Flight of the Foo Birds" by Neal Hefti. I guess I would add Louis Armstrong's "Yes, I'm in the Barrel." I did a two hour show on song titles with hidden meanings, though I couldn't go into specifics for some of them on the air. Â Quote
