Guest GregM
Here are the hybrid Dylan releases coming later this summer/fall: 1) The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan 2) Another Side of Bob Dylan 3) Bringing It All Back Home 4) Highway 61 Revisited 5) Blonde on Blonde 6) John Wesley Harding 7) Nashville Skyline 8) Planet Waves 9) Blood On The Tracks 10) Desire 11) Street Legal 12) Slow Train Coming 13) Infidels 14) Oh Mercy 15) Love and Theft I'm planning to get The Freewheelin', Another Side of, Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline, Blood On The Tracks and Desire. I already have the Blonde on Blonde SACD, and I'm still wavering on whether to get Planet Waves. My old vinyl copy never really grabbed me the same way as the others. If Blonde on Blonde is any indication, these will sound stellar.
jazzbo
I have vinyl of those that I want, the one that really tempts me is Planet Waves, which is my favorite of the lot! I haven't bought that on cd, and I've wanted to, so I may buy that when released. I have a nice tape copy of Blood on the Tracks, the other masterpiece here, and may buy a copy of that on cd down the road as well.
kulu se mama
an easier question is - which ones aren't you buying? i won't buy them all at once, but i will buy every single one of them. i was in a store this week, and they were playing an old copy of "blood on the tracks." sometimes i forget just how good that album is. there is nothing coming out today that could touch that record. much less is there any established artist working at that level. (now i sound like a fogey.)
Guest Mnytime
I won't be getting these. 8) Planet Waves 11) Street Legal 12) Slow Train Coming 13) Infidels 14) Oh Mercy
J Larsen
You're a wise man. Actually, I really feel no need to have Dylan in hi-fi. Don't get me wrong, I love his music, but it seems well suited to old vinyl, IMO.
Adam
Oh, will get most over time, but will start with Hwy 61, which somehow I've never gotten around to aquiring on vinyl or CD.
shrugs
Hopefully some old farts that don't like getting up to flip the licorice pizzas will sell off a few in exchange for these new remasters.
Jazzdog
Definetly these: 2) Another Side of Bob Dylan 6) John Wesley Harding 7) Nashville Skyline 9) Blood On The Tracks 13) Infidels as I do not have any of them on cd at the moment. Over time I will probably get the other essential titles (Freewheelin', Highway 61, BIABH and Blonde) but as I already have the original issue, there is no point in getting rid of them unless they have extra tracks, but I am seriously not counting on it. Sundog
Own these all on vinyl except "Oh Mercy" (cd) and "Love & Theft" (don't have). Probably will pass on most of these except for maybe "Blood On The Tracks"
Tjazz
I love Dylan. But I already have all the LPs and all on CD. Just saw Costco was selling the box (15) for $150. If I see it for $100 used, I'll upgrade and get rid of the CDs/LPs.
