Hank Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 Arrived this afternoon (#78). I put on disc 5 first. "Everyday I Have the Blues" sounds like a big improvement over the old Verve disc. Can't wait to dig further into the stuff I haven't heard before. Quote

montg Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 sounds like a big improvement over the old Verve disc I'm interested to hear opinions about how Addey's work compares to previous reissues..for me, some of the Verve releases I've purchased [King of Swing, April in Paris, and COunt! (import)] were prettty mediocre sound wise, even for the era. Quote
ASNL77 Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Not much on the Basie set yet. I am still waiting for mine but I was expecting more feedback on this one. Quote
tranemonk Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 I know I bugged you guys about this before... but since you NOW have the Basie... How does it compare to the Live Roulette set (which is what I have....)???? I'm debating on this one.... Very hesitant... after my last Mosaic experience... the Dinah Washington set... ( I know one has nothing to do with the other - other than in my imagination and wallet.... Quote
