slide_advantage_redoux
Opinions on Peter Ind's productions on Wave records? Was this label his, or did he just produce under it?
J.A.W.
Ind owns Wave. JC link
Pete B
The Warne Marsh things are nice, as are the two Sal Mosca albums. He has a cd with duets with Rufus Reid that I think is extraordinary (of course I'm a bassist so I would think that wouldn't I?)

Son-of-a-Weizen
I see that he's on Buddy Rich 'In Miami'. How's that one?
Chuck Nessa
I see that he's on Buddy Rich 'In Miami'. How's that one? Geez, it's friggin' Buddy Rich in friggin' Miami. We can all write our own scenerios. Or were you mentioning some photo you have? B-)
Son-of-a-Weizen
The only picture I have is of that kid (Fred Mertz Jr?) in the front row of your 5th grade social studies class in 1960, quaking with fear while raising his hand to ask you a question. JSngry
I see that he's on Buddy Rich 'In Miami'. How's that one? Geez, it's friggin' Buddy Rich in friggin' Miami. We can all write our own scenerios. I've heard that side, Weizen, and contrary to whatever sarcasm you might think Chuck is conveying, that's about as succinct a summation of the music as there is. Even by Buddy's standards, it's hyper. My scenario includes massive quantities of cocaine, unpaid ex-wifes, gambling debts coming due, and drunks wanting to hear "In The Mood", but I'm afraid I tend towards underestimation. Son-of-a-Weizen
Oh okay...well that helps a good bit. I don't own a single Buddy Rich LP/Cd and had thought about roadtesting one of his smaller group dates like 'Buddy & Sweets' (I've heard clips at CD Universe and like it) or the 'Miami' one. Since the 'Sweets' one doesn't sound 'hyper' to me......I now know that the Miami one is an entirely different ball of wax and it's probably one I don't want to go for, yes? JSngry
Not with your own money, no, I'd think not. Unless you're in the market for a cure to narcolepsy. But even then, the cure might be worse than the disease...
JSngry
...it's probably one I don't want to go for, yes? That's a question where yes means no, no means yes, and maybe means nothing! You've been around them freakin' politicians too long, dude.
