Kutz (RIP) Joseph John Kutz, 79, of the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Hospice Community Care - Wilkes-Barre Inpatient Unit, where he was a patient for a day. Born in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Peter and Blanche Soshinski Kutz. Prior to his retirement in 1985, Mr. Kutz was employed by Penn Footwear. He was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School, a life member of Honey Pot Volunteer Fire Company and a member of American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke. He loved polka bands and spent time traveling with his late wife and friends to enjoy different bands. He was a member of St. Faustina Parish, Nanticoke. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marie Waiter, in 2005; sisters, Dolores Prushinski, Jean Kutz and Dorothy O'Brien. Surviving are his loving nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces as well as close cousins.
