md655321
Easy - Charlie Christian. However, non-tragic death artists Id have to think about.

AllenLowe
yes yes on Danny Polo (and if you can find an LP of his 1930s Euro recordings grab it - and I recently picked up a Spike Highes LP with some early Polo on it) - I would add Teddy Weatherford -
Brownian Motion
yes yes on Danny Polo (and if you can find an LP of his 1930s Euro recordings grab it - and I recently picked up a Spike Highes LP with some early Polo on it) - I would add Teddy Weatherford - Weatherford without a doubt. One of the members of the board was kind enough to provide me with a burn of his entire European output, but I would love to hear the recordings he made in India. I think some of these may have made it on to an LP; not sure. Edited April 24, 2005 by Brownian Motion

clifford_thornton
Arthur Jones, Jacques Coursil, and I suppose Prince Lasha doesn't have that many released recordings when you think about it... Tubby Hayes should have had more.
