Adam Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 I don't even have any photos; just wanted to see some of Satchmo, but then that seemed too limiting, so post away. Quote

Christiern Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 Here is Louis again in Chicago (with baseball mitt). BTW, these are mostly unpublished photos. Quote
Guest Mnytime Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 Chris Excellent pictures!! I would love to go through your stash of pictures one day. Quote
Christiern Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 Saxophinist Crawford Wethington, Louis, and Zutty Singleton enroute to New York from Chicago in 1929. Quote
Christiern Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 And, from the same trip, trumpeter Homer Bobson and Louis pose at Niagra Falls. Quote
Christiern Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 Yet another photo from the Summer of 1929 trip to NYC. I have as yet not identified Louis' companions, but it was a small band, so the task should be easy. Anyone here recognize them? Possibilities: Fred Robinson, Bert Curry, Jimmy Strong, Gene Anderson, Mancy Cara, Pete Briggs, or Carroll Dickerson. Quote
Christiern Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Red Norvo and Louis at WNEW in the 1940s. Quote
