Guest Mnytime Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 To continue: Butthead: Huhhuhhh... he's a wuss. Beavis: Yeah! I could like, kick his ASS! Butthead: Huh huh uhhuhuhh... no way, dillweed. He'd stomp you! Beavis: Shutup, asswipe!!! (the two start fighting on the couch) Wouldn't there be a slap to the back of the head in the middle of that? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Just heard on the Jimmy Kimmel show (I was channel surfing tonight) that they changed the name of Bruce Banner in the 70s TV to David Banner because the producers thought Bruce sounded too gay. That's pretty funny. Kimmel was interviewing Lou... what's his name... the Hulk guy from the show. Damn... memory dead. Quote
Guest Mnytime Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 (edited) Lou Ferrigno Also, there are two reasons for the name change: The first was that the name "Bruce" was considered stereotypically gay in the 1970s. The second was that producer Ken Johnson hated illiterating names like "Bruce Banner", "Clark Kent", "Matt Murdock" and "Peter Parker." Some more of my usual Mnytime Factoids. The hair for the Hulk wig was made from Yak's hair that cost $650 to make. Edited June 24, 2003 by Mnytime Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Yeah, Ferrigno talked about the wig. He said it was hot as hell and stinky. Quote
