JSngry Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 "C" IS for cookie. That's good enough for me. Quote
Late Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Ah, but if you saw Tina Fey last night ... you'd know that Mr. Monster's been newly renamed: "Pilates Monster" Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Am I alone in thinking a picture of Aric was going to load? Quote
kulu se mama Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 his new song is "cookies are sometimes food." Quote
Ron S Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 CM must have been hit really hard by the low-carb craze. Quote
JSngry Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Ok, I'll admit it - I've not seen Sesame Street in about 10 years. What's going on w/Cookie Monster to the point that Tina Fey is involved? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 11, 2005 Author Report Posted April 11, 2005 cookie monster said he is cutting back on the cookies Quote
catesta Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I'll be damned, he is cutting back on cookies. CRAZY! Quote
king ubu Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Am I alone in thinking a picture of Aric was going to load? not quite, Chuck! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I don't think cookies are the reason child obesity is on the rise. Maybe it has something to do with letting kids under two eat french fries, pop, etc. on a regular basis. I've seen it more than I care to admit. Quote
Bright Moments Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 mcdonalds now offers apple slices as an alternative to fries in their "happy meals". Quote
DTMX Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 mcdonalds now offers apple slices as an alternative to fries in their "happy meals". Too late for these kids... Quote
catesta Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 It's probably not right to laugh at that picture, after all it is really sayd, but I can't help myself. Does the one kid have a grease spotted napkin stuck to him? No doubt the caption should be, "are you gonna eat that"? Quote
ghost of miles Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I'll be damned, he is cutting back on cookies. CRAZY! New song "A Cookie Is a Sometimes Food?" Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 It's a sad commentary when Sesame Street has to try to teach kids not to eat cookies and junk food all day. Whatever happened to parenting? Quote
jazzypaul Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I don't think cookies are the reason child obesity is on the rise. Maybe it has something to do with letting kids under two eat french fries, pop, etc. on a regular basis. I've seen it more than I care to admit. add to that the fact that kids are now practically encouraged to not go outside and play anymore. When I was a kid, atari was fun and all (I know, I'm dating myself), but it was still more fun in the long run to go out and play baseball or football, and you were cool if you were in Karate lessons. Now kids just want to attatch themselves to their computers and play video games all day. If you're just gonna sit around all day, you're gonna get fat, french fries or not. Quote
Noj Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 1. The boob tube is not a baby sitter 2. Video games make for lazy kids 3. Cold cereal is better than McDonald's, and kids will eat it gladly 4. Parents who read to their kids give their kids a head start on school 5. Start kids with sports early, and he or she will pick a favorite If I ever have kids of my own, I intend to keep these things in mind. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 11, 2005 Author Report Posted April 11, 2005 chuck n what is your fav cookie? Quote

This should be construed as child abuse. The "parents" of these poor kids are basically dooming them to a lifetime of health problems, not to mention the psychological and self-esteem issues. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. Quote
