I live in rural central Pennsylvania, and I don't watch television, and I rarely listen to much on the radio besides NPR news programs. Can someone explain to me wtf this is?

I've heard the "Manteca" thing - it makes for a good dance track and an interesting listen once or twice, but I'd not see fit to go beyond that with it myself.

I bought the Verve "Unmixed" versions of the first two compilations, so I could have clean versions of a few tracks whose albums I haven't seen available.

I assume the artist's estate has to sign-off on something that departs so dramatically from the artist's original intent. Or maybe not--who knows what the original contract specified. Still, this makes me feel uneasy. It's a little like painting a mustache and goatee on the Mona Lisa, but dada it ain't.
