Joe G Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 Getting by with a little help from my friends (and family). Thanks Quote
GregN Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 Again, special thanks to those who have sent money for pre-orders and for sponsorship. The recordings are right on track, and general album formatting has begun. It is not too late to get in on the sponsorships and/or pre-orders so let's keep that money rolling in. "operators are standing by...". But seriously, as a home-spun recording project we have laid down serious money for the honor of recording with the great Glenn Brown. The historical Muscle Shoals console seems perfect for this recording. Jim's B-3, Joe's guitars, and Randy's drums have never... and I mean never... sounded better. And the songs, the vibe, and the general love, are, in a word, AWESOME!!! You are all in for a special treat. Greg Nagy Organissimo Mgt. Quote
king ubu Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Finally sent in my order, too! Had to update that credit card first... me lazy dog, took two weeks to do it, but now I'm in! Quote

It means a lot to the fellas. Greg Nagy Organissimo Mgt Glad to be in! I got their first disc very late... and this is the least I can do, in return to using this board almost daily! Plus, obviously, I enjoy the first disc, and look forward to hearing this new one a lot! Quote
mgraham333 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Dusted off the old PayPal account and got in on the pre-order. Looking forward to another great disc from Organissimo! Quote
chris Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Glad to add the new signed CD to my Organissimo "collection" Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 28, 2005 Author Report Posted April 28, 2005 Thanks again to everyone who has donated/pre-ordered the disc! Your monies have helped us pay our fantastic sidemen for this project, Johnny Gist and Bill Vits! The window is still open, however! If you still want to get in on the Level 4 deal, or any tier for that matter, you've still got time! I will probably do a cut-off for Level 4 about a week before the project goes to the printer. The others will remain open even after the CD is released. Anyway, after spending the last few weeks listening to the rough cuts, we've decided to go back into the studio and re-track one tune. The tempo just isn't right on the current cut and we're looking for perfection! Hopefully we'll be able to get back in sometime in May but it might take as long as June 3rd or 4th. Glenn is super busy, and the gig season is starting to pick up so we're busy as well. Board member Noj has been working hard on the artwork for the CD and it looks fantastic! The tentative title for the project is a quote from Chuck Nessa: "This is the place!" Thanks again for your support and patience. I can say in all honesty that this record is going to turn some heads. Quote

scottb Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 How much do I have to contribute to get the Jazzica used during the sessions, signed by Joe Gloss? Not even dignified with a response? OK, How much do I have to contribute to get an Alleykat which wasn't used in the sessions (it wasn't, was it?) signed by Joe Gloss? Quote

Glad to see you guys are releasing another cd;really enjoyed the first one and hope to see the band in DC on your tour! Yes, it's still open. The CD will probably be out in late June / early July. I'll cut-off the Level 4 donations right before the CD goes to print. As for being in general stores, since we don't have a label, probably not. But you can order it online in several ways. Quote
