Jazz and drinking habits

Recommended Posts

One of the first life lessons I learned from an older jazz musician (Roger Boykin, I believe it was) has proven one of the most useful and consistently beneficial - never trust anybody who neither smokes, drinks, nor curses at least occasionally.

I have a couple of friends who follow Modern Drunkard religiously.

Jazzmoose, I'm with ya... at least I still curse with some regularity. Can I be trusted if I packed a lifetime's worth of drinking & smoking into ages 13-30? B-)

Nowadays my main vices are drinking too much coffee and buying too many jazz CDs.
