Rooster_Ties Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 In the thread that no longer exists... It's still around. It wasn't deleted. Catesta just provided the search key, a couple posts above this.
catesta Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 In this case I think this board is a better place for ridding ourselves of the purveyor of Nazi poo, and if being an unforgiving badger helped push him away, then cheers to Couw, Ubu, Allen and the rest for helping to make it possible. I just hope any cool people that left because of one rotten apple come back. The door is already opening.
Brownian Motion Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 To leave in so ostentatious a manner is somewhat like asking for and receiving the chance to read one's own obituary.
Quincy Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 In the thread that no longer exists... It's still around. It wasn't deleted. Catesta just provided the search key, a couple posts above this. Strange, I can't find it anymore. I just assumed as he started the thing maybe he deleted on his way out. If it is indeed gone, how environmental of him to clean up his toxic waste dump.
Guest Chaney Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 (edited) Oy. Che once (that I read) welcomed a new member to this board. I believe his words were, "Welcome to the baord." I've been wondering if anyone else read his welcome and thought it... a bit creepy? He felt himself one of the gang, riding on the welcome wagon, dispensing greetings to the newly registered when since almost day one of his brief stay, he sat in his crib drooling, babbling, whining and soiling his diaper, only occasionally managing to NOT irritate the adults. Could the man really have been so clueless? Certain of his views stop me from saying, Y'know, he's probably really a very nice guy. I wish him well, hope that he wises up but most of all I recommend that he get right back on that horse and... oh, I don't know, maybe... join another jazz board? Edited April 1, 2005 by Chaney
Man with the Golden Arm Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 What's a "mong"? "candygram for che"
GregK Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I wish him well, hope that he wises up but most of all I recommend that he get right back on that horse and... oh, I don't know, maybe... join another jazz board? I think che does exist on the AAJ board as someone named Andy D.

Well now it is gone, what the hell did you do? I'm not sure he would have had time to delete any threads, my guess is that Jim or Use deleted it. Fine by me, it was an ugly thread, no sense in re-visiting all the crap.
Rooster_Ties Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Nah, the thread is still there. I can still get to it with the link that somebody sent me earlier today. It hasn't been deleted.
rostasi Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 What's a "mong"? "candygram for che" OH! I thought you meant this.
undergroundagent Posted April 1, 2005 Author Report Posted April 1, 2005 Who has officially been banned now?

No shit? Is he still an active member?
ejp626 Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 What struck me was that he was everywhere, or at least on the top 20 active threads, posting nothing but smilies or thumbs up. He was a bit more involved in the politics thread. Kind of an annoying character, but certainly not ban-worthy (unless he kept baiting members), though if he asked for it, that's no skin off my nose.
A Lark Ascending Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I think che does exist on the AAJ board as someone named Andy D. He was banned at AAJ a few weeks back as a result of a series of anti-American tirades in the political forum. Believe me, he was being polite here!
Use3D Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 What struck me was that he was everywhere, or at least on the top 20 active threads, posting nothing but smilies or thumbs up. God that drove me nuts.
JSngry Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Playin' the roll of the martyr. As well as the role...

No shit? Is he still an active member? Not sure. I haven't been on that board in a while. But the only reason I make that assumption (and I hereby apologize if I am wrong) is that there probably aren't too many socialist jazz fans from the UK who announce on jazz bulletin boards about their travel plans to Halifax, Canada this summer. Che did that on this board, Andy D did on the AAJ board. Of course, there could be two people making that trip who happen to share similar poltical views and musical tastes, but Halifax just isn't the biggest travel destination so the chances are slim, I'd say.
rostasi Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Playin' the roll of the martyr. As well as the role... Unless it was a nice russian rye
JSngry Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Playin' the roll of the martyr. It's been part of his game since day one. That was my impression from the beginning, and I was never totally dissuaded of it.
catesta Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Nah, the thread is still there. I can still get to it with the link that somebody sent me earlier today. It hasn't been deleted. Shit, yes it is. What the hell did you do? Seriously, it is there you have to search beyond the last 30 days.

catesta Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Playin' the roll of the martyr. As well as the role... Oh fuck! I obviously had a Pastrami sandwich on my mind.
