GA Russell Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I'm trying to load a program onto my computer. The disc has three programs, and two loaded satisfactorily. But the primary program won't install. When the time comes for installation, I get the message: "Internal Error 2735. Check OEMState." What does this mean? The OEM is the Manual, right? The manual just says to follow the instructions of the program regarding installation, so there isn't any help there. I went to the store to exchange the disc this morning, hoping that maybe my disc is just defective, but they were sold out, and wouldn't give me a refund because the package had been opened. How's that for service! Anyway, I don't know what I am supposed to do to install the program. It's supposed to be easy, so what do you recommend? Quote
wesbed Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Post your software situation here. You'll probably get a good solution. I did a search on your error but didn't find an answer. http://forums.techguy.org/ Quote

OEM is probably "Original Equipment Manufacturer" as (usually) in OEM number, the long numerical code that comes on a sticker (usually) somewhere on your software packaging and which has to be entered at installation. Your problem might be related to this number or some other copy protection feature. Quote
GA Russell Posted March 31, 2005 Author Report Posted March 31, 2005 Thanks guys. I have registered the product with the manufacturer, and immediately posed the question to them. Wesbed, if their answer is not satisfactory, I'll give your suggestion a try. Minew, I thought about that. The program has a 20 digit key which must be entered for it to work. I have typed it in a number of times with the same result. It wouldn't surprise me if you were right. By the way, the manufacturrer is Cosmi, and this is a 2004 program, so things should be up to date. Quote

GA Russell Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Posted April 2, 2005 I received today a reply from Cosmi offering to send me a new disk. That was nice, considering that I hadn't told them that I went back to the store and it was sold out. We'll see how long it takes for the disk to arrive. I'm betting it will come on the 12th. Quote
GA Russell Posted April 8, 2005 Author Report Posted April 8, 2005 I received the disk from Cosmi today, and it appears to be an upgrade! Nice service. I am trying everything out now and it all appears OK. Certainly it loaded properly. By the way, this appears to be a Pinnacle program. Maybe Cosmi is just the distributor. The packaging mentions only Cosmi, but the Manual mentions only Pinnacle. Quote
