Continuing to watch Enlightened. Liking it more as it progresses.

Last night's episode of The Good Wife - top notch IMO.

I also liked last night's The Good Wife----very entertaining show.

Also been watching some old episodes of Firefly.

Good Wife was good this week, I missed the show. Love Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Shawn. Fun Stuff.

I watched the first six episodes of Nip/Tuck Season One. And Continuum, which is getting better. And Castle which has been coasting but this two parter is a bit more exciting.

Firefly is classic cult show.

Have you seen it in the intended order it was supposed to be shown? Fox pretty much killed the show by showing the episodes for whatever reason out of order initially. It's a lot better and makes a whole lot more sense in the correct order.

Yes. In fact, that's the ONLY way I've seen it, because I missed its initial run on TV and only caught up with it on DVD after seeing the movie, "Serenity."

Fox has a reputation for airing TV shows out of sequence. I recently caught up with one of their failed shows (2005's The Inside) and researching it I discovered they aired them in this order: Episode 1, 3, 4, 2, 5, 7, 8 They never aired episodes 6 or 9 thru 13. However when the show was broadcast in the UK it was aired in the correct order.

In other words, they just don't give a fuck.

They and another stations do it with new shows they like but are not getting good ratings. They pick episodes that they think will get better ratings....it kills the show if they do it too much with shows that the order shown matters. The most famous instance that I know would be The Prisoner. It was written in one order, filmed in another, and shown in yet another. Sometimes for big budget shows it's to cut down on costs. Babylon 5 while mostly in chronological order would film things out of order to cut down on costs of sets, costumes and makeup. It also didn't help Firefly that it was shown on Fridays.

Watched the old British film Kind Hearts and Coronets (have been getting into old Alec Guinness films).

Didn't expect that much, having heard mostly of the 8 supporting roles Guinness played, but loved it - one of the best things I've seen in years (and I'm ordinarily not much into 1949-vintage black and white film)! I may even purchase a DVD. Granted I'm highly partial to the "black humor" genre...

A masterpiece.
