Shawn Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 The TV show "Community." Now on the third season. One of the only comedy shows I've truly loved in years, a shame that season 4 is sitting collecting dust on the shelves until February. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 "The Hour" - a BBC version of Mad Men set in a seedy late-50s newsroom in London. Series 2. "The Killing III" (the proper version) starts tomorrow - looking forward to that. Quote
kinuta Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 The Kiliing 3, episodes 1 & 2. Excellent as always. Also still enjoying Scandal and Nashville. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Watched a few episodes of "Luther", Season 2 (on the tele). Quote
jazzbo Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Episodes of the first season of The Hour. Nice. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 This week: 'The Hour' Series 2, episode 2 'The Killing III' episode 3/4 'Crossfire Hurricane' - a new Rolling Stones documentary. Episode 1. Some intriguing 60s/early 70s footage. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 The Hour, series 2 episode 2 is out here on Wednesday. Right now watching The Sopranos, Season 3 Quote
BruceH Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 The TV show "Community." Now on the third season. One of the only comedy shows I've truly loved in years, a shame that season 4 is sitting collecting dust on the shelves until February. And season 4 (a mere 13 episodes) is probably not going to be good because the showrunner, Dan Harmon, was fired. Networks just don't know what to do with quality. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 The Hour, series 2 episode 2 is out here on Wednesday. You gave us 'Madmen'; we've given you 'The Hour'. A pretty good exchange, I'd say (though I'd give 'Madmen' the advantage). Quote
jazzbo Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 They're VERY different, in my estimation. I like The Hour. I love Mad Men. Quote
kinuta Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 The final episode of Secret State which was underwhelming to say the least. I'll give it a 'why bother' rating. The final episode of Hunted, the single worst tv series I've seen recently. The final episode of Treme which was good, the programme is a kind of mood poem on New Orleans, the individual story threads are not so involving but the total effect is. The penultimate episode of Boardwalk Empire which was brilliant, can't wait for the finale with Nocky and Al paired up against the evil(er) doers. Quote
Shawn Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 I know some people can't keep from comparing it to the BBC version...but the new TV show from this season I'm enjoying the most is ELEMENTARY. I think Johnny Lee Miller is fantastic as Sherlock and they are nicely developing his friendship with Watson. Great fun. Quote
Matthew Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day. This is actually a very good DVD, that I'm enjoying immensely. Jimmy Page is great (love the Les Paul he's playing), Plant is singing in an age appropriate manner, not trying to recapture his youth, John Paul Jones & Jason Bonham work well together, and the music has aged very well. Digging it very much. Quote

I was especially glad they dug out some of the mid-70s stuff like In My Time Of Dying, For Your Life, Trampled Under Foot and Nobody's Fault But Mine. That is my favorite period of Zeppelin. Quote
Shawn Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Excellent concert film from Polish Prog Rock band Riverside. Fans of Porcupine Tree should check them out. Quote
jazzbo Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Singer Jill Scott on tonight's "Fringe" Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 'The Hour' and 'The Killing III' continue to hold my attention on TV. Now on series 6 of: The ridiculous Crane brothers continue to delight. Quote
JSngry Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 It Takes A Thief on Antenna TV, an episode with Suzy Parker as the babe interest. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 'The Killing III' continue to hold my attention on TV. I still can't work out what the heck is going on in that one... Very nicely shot though, if you pardon my pun. Quote

Very nicely shot though, if you pardon my pun. The clue lies in the patterns on the jumpers! Apparently there are remakes planned in both the UK and the USA of 'The Bridge' - speculation as to where. The Channel Tunnel, the US Mexican border! The good news is that a second non-Andorran series is due though not until next Autumn. 'Borgen' returns in January - another excellent bit of Nordic gloom and intrigue. Quote
