Shawn Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 RINGER - Premiers tonight on the CW. Note "Richard" from Lost in the back. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 I watched a couple of episodes of Dark Shadow on Netflix and I think I got hooked... Quote
jazzbo Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 This season is even better viewed on disc. (And the Blu-Ray is beautiful in sound and picture). So much I missed on broadcast or didn't "hit me" . . . . Great season. Looking forward to next. Quote
kinuta Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Damages season finale. Rather predicable, I miss the complex plotting of the previous, better, seasons. Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 Boxing PPV Here's a rarity, an undercard loaded with interesting competitive entertaining fights, especially the Morales-Cano bloodshed. Regarding the Mayweather-Ortiz, well we already knew from the Maidana fight that Ortiz was not very strong in terms of mental resistance but tonight he outdid himself by being a Darwin award worthy in the dumbest way to lose a main event since Mike Tyson's ear biting incident. Think of it, he got knocked out because he was too busy trying to give a hug to his opponent !!!! Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) Once that said, must say in terms of creepy classless characters Mayweather may be in a league of his own Edited September 18, 2011 by Van Basten II Quote
kinuta Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 Breaking Bad Episode 10 Brilliant, a very powerful episode. Quote
BruceH Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Breaking Bad Episode 10 Brilliant, a very powerful episode. Payback time. Which will lead to more payback. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Quickly watched "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on Blu-Ray. Better than "Spartacus: Bood and Sand". . . and shorter. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 RINGER - Premiers tonight on the CW. Note "Richard" from Lost in the back. Because my girlfriend wanted to give this show a shot, I've watched the first two episodes. Pretty lame. Really silly and implausible. Maybe I won't havet to watch many more. . . . Quote
Shawn Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Yeah, I wasn't crazy about it either. The direction of the pilot was very amateurish, I'll give one more episode a shot and then will probably bail on it. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Watched the first episode of Misfits on Hulu, but haven't decided if I like it or not. I could sure use subtitles for some of these people, though! Quote
jazzbo Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Watched the season premiere of Harry's Law. I think it's going to be a good season. Watched the premiere of Whitney on Demand because a friend told me it was good. Well, I love the guy but he was wrong. Though she did look pretty hot in that nurse's uniform. Looking forward to James Spader on The Office tonight, and Fringe tomorrow! Quote
kinuta Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Fringe's return is great news ! Edited September 23, 2011 by kinuta Quote
Shawn Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Nicely done! Zooey is indeed adorable and the show has a nice laid-back vibe. Quote
kinuta Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 DCI Banks Season 2, Playing With Fire episodes 1 & 2. Dull and unconvincing. The show is a total dud. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Nicely done! Zooey is indeed adorable and the show has a nice laid-back vibe. Thought that was pretty lame to be honest. We'll see what it's like without Wayens, Jr. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 DCI Banks Season 2, Playing With Fire episodes 1 & 2. Dull and unconvincing. The show is a total dud. I've enjoyed the books they are based on - but in every publicity photo I've seen Stephen Tomlinson looks like he's just witnessed a terrible car crash. So I skipped it - sounds like I was wise. kinuta Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Prime Suspect No way Jose, a remake of the classic, off with their sacrilegious heads ! Well I'll eat a modest portion of humble pie, it wasn't a remake although it borrowed a few plot items, and admit to really enjoying the show. I hope they keep up the good work. Quote
Stereojack Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Watched the season premiere of Harry's Law. I think it's going to be a good season. Sorry, but I have to disagree. The "store front" locale of the show and the connection to the neighborhood was the main appeal of the show. This year they've dropped the neighborhood characters, and transformed it into another slick lawyer show, replete with a cast of pretty people. The addition of the insufferable Christopher McDonald as a regular cast member doesn't help either. As much as I like Kathy Bates, I think she's going to buried before long. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 I see your points. . . and they're valid. I guess I just like the "vibe" of this show a lot and see enough of it intact. We'll see. Fringe premiere was . . .a bit disappointing. They're going all final season of LOST here. . . and they better have a handle on it. Quote
JETman Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Nicely done! Zooey is indeed adorable and the show has a nice laid-back vibe. Having been a fan of Buffy, how's Ringer? Quote

We'll see what it's like without Wayens, Jr. I think about 95% of TV shows are lame, this is one of the few that didn't illicit that response. Quote
