jazzbo Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) I'm now caught up on this AMC version. I of course have never seen "the original," but this is a good show, well-paced, good cast. Edited April 19, 2011 by jazzbo Quote
jazzbo Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Re-watching Sons of Anarchy Season 2. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 The Twilight Zone, streaming on Netflix. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) Spiral III - this has really shaped up well. Very bad-tempered (you can almost see the main character going 'Merde!' in that shot!) but engaging characters. Will have to seek out I and III on rent-a-DVD at some point. Shawn Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 The Twilight Zone, streaming on Netflix. Yeah, that was a nice addition! I've actually never watched the series in any kind of order. Right now, TV comfort food...a That 70's Show marathon, working my way through Season 6. Quote
jazzbo Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Finishing up Witchblade. It got better bit by bit but never became great. The comic book might be better. Quote
skeith Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 "An American Family" the local PBS station did a rebroadcast of the original 13 hour or so series. It takes you back to 1970-71 pretty well as if in a time machine. As for the what goes on, it reminds me of what soldiers have said about war ... hours of excruciating boredom punctuated with incredible excitement or something like that. Quote
jazzbo Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Yes, I can't wait to watch last night's Fringe . . . maybe laster today. Started watching Season 1 of "Grounded for Life." Finishing up Witchblade. It got better bit by bit but never became great. The comic book might be better. Actually looking at a bit of it on the web, the comic is probably considerably worse. Quote
BruceH Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Going through the whole Mad Men series on DVD. Again. Up to Season Two now. Quote
kinuta Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 House Chicago Code Only my opinion but House is at or past it's sell by date. Hugh Laurie seems to be becoming a caricature of himself. His antics are tiresome. Quote
kinuta Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Homicide Life On The Streets Season 3 Outstanding. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Last night we had a gathering of four and watched the last two Fringes and the Dana Carvey hosted SNL. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Watched "The Razor" episode of Battlestar Galactica, and have started watching Lost, Season Six. I love how Blu-Rays look on my system these days. Just an amazing visual experience. Better than the theater. Quote
kinuta Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Treme Can somebody tell me what the tune was the kid was playing on keyboards when Sonny posted the note on the noticeboard? I know I've got in somewhere but can't remember the title ! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Tut! Tut! The Andorran version! ****** Series 3 of Spiral finished this weekend: Left lots of threads hanging for a fourth series. I've ordered Series 1 + 2 from the rental company to catch up. Do hope BBC4 keeps up using Saturday night for these continental thrillers. Makes a nice change from the usual British/American fare. jlhoots Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 The latest episode. It remains good. Put it on the DVR to watch tonight. Anybody else catch the Sonny Clark reference re: News For Lulu in last night's episode of Treme?? Quote
jazzbo Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Re-watching the Fringe season finale. Sure didn't expect this! Quote
alankin Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Series Two of "Foyle's War." We've gotten hooked! Quote
BERIGAN Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 The Best That Never Was: The Marcus Dupree Story. What a story. Life can be a bitch a times... I just happened to catch that on ESPN a few months ago...amazing he has been able to handle all that happened to him....seeing footage of him in high school, he was clearly as good a running back as there ever has been. jazzbo Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 A televised appearance by Obama here in Austin. The man knows how to talk to an audience. Quote
