Jazzmoose Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 You know, whoevever Dokic plays next, I'm rooting for hard. As much as I sympathize with depression issues (having to deal with that problem myself), I'm getting really tired of hearing her "inspirational story" every day. Once or twice was hearwarming. Now it's become heartburn instead... Judicious use of the mute button saved the match, but she lost anyway. Oh, well... del Potro looked like he had no business being where he was. Unfortunately, I haven't watched tennis in years ( I remember hearing about some kid named Sampras shortly after I quit watching...), so this is the only time I've seen him. Quote
AndrewHill Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Huge snow day. Watching Sponge Bob with kids. Quote

AndrewHill Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Sorry for turning this into the Aussi Open thread but Fed's in the finals with a straight-set win over Roddick! Edited January 29, 2009 by Holy Ghost Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Well, I don't think enough of us are watching to give it it's own thread... I have to admit, I would have liked to see Suarez-Navarro hang around a little longer. Quote

jazzbo Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 No, I'm glad you're posting these things you're watching. I never ever watch sports on tv. I won't be watching the Super Bowl. I've never watched more than a few minutes of one. Last night I watched an episode of Battlestar Galactica Season Three. . . and fell asleep ten minutes in! Went to bed and of course. .. couldn't sleep for a while. Ended up watching an episode of CBS's attempt to be "the next XFiles", "Eleventh Hour." A waste of time. Quote
rockefeller center Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 What an epic five setter between Nadal and Verdasco. Wow, wow, wow. HOPP ROGER! Quote

kinuta Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 The first two episodes of the new show with Tim Roth, ' Lie To Me'. Very good so far Quote
jazzbo Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I saw the second one. 'Twas alright. Right now, Cowboy Junkies "Trinity Sessions Revisited". . .love this dvd. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 The movie "Ultraviolet." I know it's a stupid plot. Still I really enjoy this movie. I love the digital machinations used on this and the vivid colors. I'm watching the Blu-Ray and it's a fantastic transfer and the image is just astonishingly good. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Just watched Antonio Margarito getting the shit beaten out of him by Shane Mosley No way!!! You made that up, didn't you? I hereby officially withdraw my shock, now that we know Margarito probably beat the shit out of Cotto by having his gloves packed with plaster of paris... One year suspension my ass. Quote

Van Basten II Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Just watched Antonio Margarito getting the shit beaten out of him by Shane Mosley No way!!! You made that up, didn't you? I hereby officially withdraw my shock, now that we know Margarito probably beat the shit out of Cotto by having his gloves packed with plaster of paris... One year suspension my ass. I have not read the details about what they did find out but if he indeed used plastered taping in any of his fights, he should be banned for life, shades of Luis Resto and Panama Lewis. Quote
