Van Basten II Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 David Haye versus John Ruiz, something rare an entertaining heavyweight fight, something even rarer a entertaining fight involving John Ruiz. Quote
kinuta Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 This weeks Damages & 24 double episode, which was a real thriller this week, belatedly recapturing it's old mojo. Quote

Dave James Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Season 5 of Weeds. Unfortunately, this show has been in a downward spiral since Nancy hooked up with the Mexican mafia. I'll stick with it, but I wish they could recapture the spark that made Seasons 1 & 2 so enjoyable. The next series in my Netflix cue is The WIre. I've heard nothing but good things about this show. I'm looking forward to it. Quote
jlhoots Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Damages ep 12 Impressive. The level of writing and the plot are extremely good this season. Season finale next week. Lots to wrap up. Quote

jazzbo Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Lost Totally incomprehensible. I had a lot of fun watching that last night with MAGNIFICENT GOLDBERG here in my living room along with SHAWN, DAVE LACZKO and DAVID MASCORRO. But . . . Ilana blew herself up! She was crazy and wild and I wanted to know more of her back story. Or maybe it's just that I really enjoy the work of the talented actress Zuliekah Robinson. I hope she shows up on TV again soon. kinuta Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Film viewing is on the pause button as I've started rewatching The Wire.Got up to S1E08 Pity Hisako can't watch with me but the dialogue is just too difficult without subtitles. Astonishingly it's never been released here with Japanese subtitles. Quote
BruceH Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) Treme What a burst of joy, this is just what the doctor ordered. Don't miss it. I won't. (As soon as the DVD's come out.) Lately I've been watching more Breaking Bad. Yo! Beeaatch. Edited April 15, 2010 by BruceH Quote

jazzbo Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) It was a pretty good wrap-up. Left a few threads hanging (for next season?) Right now Lost from last week, in preparation for tonight. Going to be missing Zuleikah. Edited April 20, 2010 by jazzbo Quote
Shawn Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 per Lon's suggestion I've been watching Defying Gravity, pleasantly low-key, character driven sci-fi. Very nice vibe to this one, probably too much patience required for the average viewer, thus the reason it didn't last. But regardless, I'm enjoying the part of the journey that was completed. Quote
BruceH Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Sounds like a great title for a sequel to The Incredibles, or something like it. Quote

kinuta Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 It was a pretty good wrap-up. Left a few threads hanging (for next season?) I feel like she's looking down on me. They managed to tie everything up quite well. The Pattie flashbacks were unexpected and maybe they could have shot them with a little more care, they looked thrown together. Slimey Lenny lives to scam another day , maybe leaving the door open for season four. How are we going to get by without weekly postings of Ellen ? Quote
