Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Both players were broken to start the second set. Body language wise it seems that Murray is the one struggling Quote
Shawn Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Getting close to the end of the whole Battlestar Galactica. This was good TV. There are some aspects of the series I don't enjoy, but it was a very successful attempt at bringing a new form of science fiction to the screen. They did a really good job with the Blu-Ray edition. I agree completely, quite the makeover they did to the source material. I'll definitely need to watch the entire series again from the very start, it was pretty dense but fascinating throughout. Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 4-3 second set, Murray can't handle De Potro serve. Quote
AndrewHill Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Both players were broken to start the second set. Body language wise it seems that Murray is the one struggling Yeah, if I know Murray well enough, either he's going to tank or he'll pull it out. Quote
Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Murray will serve to stay alive 5-4 Del Potro Quote
AndrewHill Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Murray will serve to stay alive 5-4 Del Potro Ugh, Murray's going to tank! Me thinks. Quote

Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Murray wins the second set to carry the game into a third set, they already have played more than two hours. Quote
Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 There is a subplot going on regarding the Argentine"s condition, at 6-5 he asked for the trainer, and once the set over he went back to dressing room . He just came back on the court... Quote
Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Dead man walking, del Potro is toast Quote
Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Murray lost his concentration, allowed his opponent to break him. Quote
Van Basten II Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) Final score last set 6-1 Murray, this was the 30th open in Montreal, they etablished an attendance record, good quality tennis all around, little or no controversy, probably the best edition they ever had. jlhoots Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Mad Men....it's addictive. Yes indeed! Quote
jazzbo Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 I just wish the main characters weren't such assholes! I desperately want to really empathize with someone on that show, and can't. Just lots of male macho fantasy men, and some unhappy unwise women. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 I watched my uncle Jack Armstrong play the role of President of Lillian Foods on "Leverage" tonight. He did a good job! His first television role, and he's a natural. Quote

mikelz777 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Pushing Daisies, Complete 2nd Season I just completed watching the 2nd season of ABC's "Pushing Daisies" on DVD. This has to be one of the most original, creative, imaginative, visually stimulating, funny and surreal shows I've ever seen. It's a shame that it was cancelled. This show had a great cast and everyone shined in their roles but my favorite had to be Chi McBride as private investigator Emerson Cod. I was really surprised when I heard lead actress Anna Friel speak in the bonus features. She's British! I had never heard her speak outside of the show before and you'd never guess it from hearing her American "accent" on the show. Quote
BruceH Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Mad Men....it's addictive. Sure is! I'm digging through the second season DVD's and I caught the debut episode of season 3 Monday night. I just wish the main characters weren't such assholes! I desperately want to really empathize with someone on that show, and can't. Just lots of male macho fantasy men, and some unhappy unwise women. Actually, in a strange way I've found myself sympathizing (or at least understanding better) many of the characters as time has gone on. I think you don't necessarily have to "empathize" with characters to kind of "dig" them, if you get my drift. For instance, Roger Sterling. In many ways the guy's a dick, but over time I started understanding where he was coming from at least, and lately I have to say I just plain like him. Why? Because he gets so damn many good lines, that's why. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Oh I know what you mean. . . . I think its the chauvinism and the plain abuse of women that makes me dislike these people and not "dig" them. I've been seeing less severe examples of this all my life and despising it, and to see it glorified and glamorized by these punks just makes me unable to enjoy them. I'm beginning to despise them. I was just a kid during these years and I don't know how accurate this portrayal is. So I definitely enjoy some aspects of the series, and I think I'm beginning to enjoy despising these characters too. . . I keep watching (I got cable for the first time in my life last week, so got to see the premiere (which I though was weak) on broadcast; the other seasons I've watched on Blu-Ray. Quote
