Brad Posted July 22, 2023 Report Posted July 22, 2023 The Criterion Channel is showing at no cost Jon Else’s 1981 documentary, The Day After Trinity, about Oppenheimer. Highly recommended. You can also find it on YouTube. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted July 22, 2023 Report Posted July 22, 2023 I re-watched the movie "Nobody" again last night. I know it's just another bloody gore-fest a la John Wick, but I enjoy this movie so much more than those Wick movies, mainly because his everyday life is so like my own at times. Alarm, breakfast, bring out the trash, get the kids off to school, commute, work, commute, dinner, bedtime - over & over ad nauseam until... Quote

Referentzhunter Posted July 31, 2023 Report Posted July 31, 2023 Revisiting the first season for the first time. Yes, there are a few little flaws (unrealistic events), ... but overall this is so entertaining and well-crafted ! The acting is also very realistic most of the time. Quote

I've seen the series a few times. If I had my druthers it would have been great if it had ended at the end of Season 4, and the final season didn't happen. I enjoyed that season least. Quote

Didn't like the the second and third season ether. It's probably season one and four that stand the test of time best. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 5, 2023 Report Posted August 5, 2023 For me 2 and 3 were great. It's just 5 that was so. . . forced . Quote
JSngry Posted August 14, 2023 Report Posted August 14, 2023 Didn't realize until very recently that there were Seasons 3 & 4 of Mr. Robot. For some reason back then, I thought it had stopped after 2. Spent the last few stays starting over (memory was a bit cloudy) and this time following through, to be finished in full tomorrow. It's being fun! Quote
Brad Posted August 18, 2023 Report Posted August 18, 2023 Finishing up the Morse series. Up to season eight. Will miss it when it’s done. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted August 18, 2023 Report Posted August 18, 2023 (edited) Watching Lioness on Paramount+. It's just OK. It kills time and the acting is decent. The story is a bit far-fetched, especially how quickly they insert the operative in the initial episodes. My wife & I keep trying to watch Only Murders In The Building on Hulu, but we just can't get into it. Nether Martin Short's or Steve Martin's characters are likeable and they seem to go into extreme stereotypes in their respective roles, if that's possible. Edited August 18, 2023 by bresna Quote
