jazzbo Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 The very last episode of Dead Like Me, Season Two. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 This was a very good show. It didn't deserve cancelation. Quote
BruceH Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Just rented disc 1 of season 1 of Mad Men. I hadn't seen the very first episode, and was curious about it. Turns out I HAD seen part of the second episode and most of the third. Nice to see them in their entirety, though. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Just watched Batman Returns on DVD Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Just snooping around Hulu. I just got into this site myself. Since I don't have a TV (and don't have any desire to get one any time soon), if it isn't here, I probably won't see it. Watched the first three episodes of Legend of the Seeker, a live action fantasy show. Think Xena without the humor. Hmmm...not much of a recommendation, is it? Quote
jazzbo Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Yesterday I watched "Black Rain" (Ridley Scott with Michael Douglas) for the first time. Was okay. I just got the first season of "Leverage" in the mail yesterday and will probably start watching that. My uncle is going to be an actor in an upcoming episode and I've never seen the show (no cable.) I enjoyed it. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Yeah, I saw one episode about three weeks ago when Nadine was in the hospital, and watched the first episode today. You sort of have to like Timothy Hutton, but I do. And it's "Mission Impossible," which is okay. I never really liked MI, but I've liked other shwos that borrowed from it like "Alias." "Leverage" may prove to be pretty cool. My uncle is going to be one of the villains on the upcoming August 19 episode. I'll have to find a way to see that. Quote
Matthew Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 X Files: Season one. Watched the first two episodes, and it's not too bad of a start for the series. Quote
Shawn Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Finished up: Bones: Season 3 Starting: Stephen King's Rose Red (mini-series) Quote

Matthew Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 The Rockford Files. Season one: It doesn't matter, Rockford Files, Columbo, Mannix, McMillian & Wife, McCloud, Ironside, I love 1970s tv detective shows! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Same here! Though I put the Rockford Files at the top of the pile for sure. Quote
Matthew Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) Same here! Though I put the Rockford Files at the top of the pile for sure. The Rockford Files is about as good as it gets. I don't know why I enjoy these 70s detective shows so much. Could be that I grew up with them, or the great production values some of the have, the cool guest stars, nice scripts, a slower pace, nice theme music, less bloodletting than you have today, whatever it is, I find I get great entertainment value in all these shows. Matthew Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 The Office (USA). Season four. Creed is hilarious, showing up at work with his hair black from putting ink toner on it. The show would be so much better if they stayed with a half-hour format. Quote

Season one: It doesn't matter, Rockford Files, Columbo, Mannix, McMillian & Wife, McCloud, Ironside, I love 1970s tv detective shows! Rockford is the best. For my money, anyway. (I also did love all of those shows, though.) Quote
jazzbo Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I've been watching Mad Men Season 2 on Blu-Ray. A very well done show, this season as good as the first. I still don't really care about any of the characters. . . they're all kindof slimy. Quote
Shawn Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 True Blood...I'm attempting to like this one, but it's a struggle. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 No kidding. Naked Lizzy Caplan helped me get to the end. Quote
Use3D Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 True Blood...I'm attempting to like this one, but it's a struggle. The first season is rough, but stick with it, it gets better. Hopefully they don't go off the deep end. Quote
