Kalo Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 Mr. Mike's Mondo Video. Whoah! Michael O'Donoghue's 1970s TV special, unairable at the time. Makes Andy Kaufman look like a pussy. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 Glad you got it, let me borrow the DVD set. I would. . . I will eventually. Only. . .Gina has it. I leant it to her gad nearly a year ago, and she keeps saying she'll bring it back, she's not going to watch it, no she'll keep it and watch it, no she'll bring it back, no she'll watch it. . . . I have Two, Three and Four in DVD (and Blu-Ray) but Gina still has One. . . . She's so sweet. . . but I may have to just demand it. . . Quote
jazzbo Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 I may be in a minority but I really like this movie. This Blu-Ray version looks and sounds fantastic. Quote

jazzbo Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 That's a fun movie. I haven't listned to the commentary yet, next time through. Quote

Van Basten II Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Just watched with a 24 hour delay the fight between Ortiz and Maidana, think Foreman-Lyle but with 140 pounders Quote
catesta Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Getting ready to watch episode 3 of True Blood season 2. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 I watched Season One. I think I'll skip Season Two. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Finishing up Star Trek Season One on Blu-Ray, and Dead Like Me Season Two on DVD. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Finishing up Star Trek Season One on Blu-Ray, and Dead Like Me Season Two on DVD. The original Star Trek or the Next Generation Star Trek? To me nothing beats the first series. It was a staple in my house, like Sunday dinner at Grandma's. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The original series. I never watched any of the other series. And I was in Africa when the original series aired and only ever saw episodes willy nilly in reruns over the years. It's great to see the season all at once, and the Blu-Ray looks and sounds fabulous. Quote
JohnJ Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The original series. I never watched any of the other series. It's great to see the season all at once, and the Blu-Ray looks and sounds fabulous. Despite its camp appeal and the presence of the great William Shatner, to me the original is by far the weakest Star Trek Series. Love DS9, NG and Voyager. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Okay, from what little I've seen of the other series, I'd probably not agree with you. Quote
Shawn Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The original series was great, of the "sequels" I only really got into Next Generation...very good show that was ended too quickly. Quote

AndrewHill Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 On DVD over the weekend so far: Slumdog Millionaire, which I really really liked. Goodfellas because my niece and her boyfriend never saw it. Austin Powers and The Spy that Shagged Me because another friend never saw them, and now Rain Man for the same reason. Quote
