Thank goodness, finally on Amazon Prime Got the entire series at a Sam's Club for like $20 years ago have never opened it up ... seeing episodes in syndication I always thought the first year was the weakest, by far. Then again Crystal Bernard ... Quote

Summer Of Rockets BBC Very good cast, everything looks great on paper, it even has Timothy Spall. Unfortunately the end result is a total mess, teetering on the edge of dire. Which sums up rather a lot of Poliakoff's recent work. I was looking forward to this one breaking that run... Quote
catesta Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) I watched episode Season 1, episodes 1 and 2 of the Netflix series, "Lucifer". I guess this was originally a series on Fox. I'm thinking at this point, I'm going to skip Season 1 completely to see if it improves. Edited May 28, 2019 by catesta Quote
kinuta Posted June 1, 2019 Report Posted June 1, 2019 What an amazing surprise. Wish it had been a full season but it finally gives the great series the proper farewell it never had. Quote

kinuta Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) Chernobyl final part. Extraordinary, sad, enlightening and just plain brilliant tv drama. I think this is so good it will eventually be ranked alongside the likes of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy as one of tv's finest hours. Edited June 4, 2019 by kinuta Quote
kinuta Posted June 24, 2019 Report Posted June 24, 2019 Big Little Lies Season Two Outstanding. All round improvement on the already great first season. Quote

medjuck Posted June 25, 2019 Report Posted June 25, 2019 Did anyone else see "State of the Union"? It's 10 episodes but each episode is only 10 minutes long so you can watch it all at one sitting ( or over several nights). It's got one very funny jazz joke which i don't want to give away. Quote

Matthew Posted July 3, 2019 Report Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) Crusin' Route 66 With Michael Wallis. I like watching these obscure TV items, a much easier and chattier style than seen now-a-days. Edited July 3, 2019 by Matthew Quote
ghost of miles Posted July 9, 2019 Report Posted July 9, 2019 Nearly halfway through season 2 of The Man In The High Castle. Very compelling, expansive adaptation of Dick’s novel, and visually stunning—they do a great job of creating an alternative 1962. Two of the main characters—Frank and Juliana—can be annoying at times, but in general I’m really hooked on the show. I gather the final season will be dropping sometime this autumn. Quote
Matthew Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) The Office: Season 1. Haven't seen the episodes since they first aired. I'm surprised how good they are, as I remember not being too impressed when I first watched them, but knowing how everything turns out, I look and see the seeds of all the good stuff to come in this season. mikeweil Posted July 30, 2019 Report Posted July 30, 2019 After setting up our new media receiver for watching tv I check out all the other features. I now have direct access to YouTube on tv and enjoy some old Snader tv casts with the George Shearing quintet. Quote
