Brad Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 Traitors (Netflix). Mildly entertaining about the post OSS days. Quote

A bit facile, but seems to capture the post-war Britain that's in my mind. I'm a fan of the beautiful Keeley Hawes, and am impressed that for her role, she's been made to look so dowdy... Quote
kinuta Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 Finished the Beeb drama in one sitting. Powerful display of thespian talent. Quote

JSngry Posted April 23, 2019 Report Posted April 23, 2019 Mr. Lucky, and Peter Gunn. Both on Amazon Prime. First time really watching either, they're fun. Quote

Dobie Gillis is also on AP. Cool show daddio! I'm watching on AP Corner Gas Season 1. Never heard of the show before, just looking for something different, and I can't tell if the humor is subtle or boring, but I'm hooked. Quote

Yeah, It does have a "Hallmark Channel" feel to it; staying in its lane, never veering to out right laughter, nor blatant bad taste, it's the very definition of middle-of-the-road. Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 Not that I've lived in sm town SK, but S'toon where I have lived is full of people from there. Quote
catesta Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) Game of Thrones, Season 8. Typically this is not my kind of show and it wasn't for a long time until my daughter convinced me a few years ago to start at the beginning. Now like so many, I am hooked. Episode 3 was intense. Sorry to see Jorah Mormont go and I would have like to have seen the Dothraki in the final battle but that's not going to happen now. Looking forward to see what happens next. jazzbo Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) Yes, threw me a curve ball with the quick end to the zombie menace, but I'm not displeased. I too took a long time to warm up to the idea of this series, and when I did start watching about four years ago I got hooked, but was quickly disappointed that so much of the energy was devoted to walking dead albeit with a difference or two. I just am not into zombies. Edited April 30, 2019 by jazzbo Quote
catesta Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Yeah, I'm hoping the Night King and company are gone for good. There are several theories that say he is not gone and lives in Bran Stark now. I hope that is not the case and would much prefer the final episodes focused on the battle with Cersei. Quote
soulpope Posted May 5, 2019 Report Posted May 5, 2019 "House Of Cards" Season 4 .... entertaining .... Quote
kinuta Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Line Of Duty finale. Yeah, right. I think I can say that this season was below par. This week's Game Of Thrones. Who will drive the stake through Cersei? I can't imagine the show concluding with her still on the Iron Throne. On 30/04/2019 at 1:00 AM, catesta said: Game of Thrones, Season 8.
