Not quite as good as the other two in many ways, but worth watching, especially once you got into the second half. Interesting article: https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/6/22/15833772/fargo-finale-recap-season-3-review-somebody-to-love Yes - that article sums it up well. Quote
erwbol Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 What to say of Twin Peaks season 3 episode 8? Here is what The Guardian said and it's true: Twin Peaks recap: episode eight – the most mind-melting, majestic outing yet After this bewilderingly brave and groundbreaking hour of television, David Lynch has outdone himself. What an unforgettable journey ... what follows is so mind-meltingly brave and groundbreaking that’s it’s arguably the most avant garde piece of mainstream television since the show’s initial run. kh1958 Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 That was quite an episode. The day when TV series are much better and more creative than films was not one I anticipated. Quote
kinuta Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Broken BBC Gets my vote for the best serious drama of the year. Briliiant performance from Sean Bean speaking in his natural Sheffield dialect. Sad, haunting and ultimately very uplifting. Quote
kinuta Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Gypsy Netflix. No minced words, a right load of bollocks. Quote
kinuta Posted August 4, 2017 Report Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) Top Of The Lake Season Two Very good, ignore the negative reviews. Nicole Kidman is on a roll. ..................00....................... Now finished and have mixed feelings. Leaving threads hanging and the narrative unresolved was not satisfactory. It felt like several scriptwriters had made a contribution and the thing had been botched in the editing. Edited August 6, 2017 by kinuta Quote
kinuta Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Game Of Thrones That was a stunning battle sequence. Can't imagine how they can top that for sheer spectacle. Quote

ejp626 Posted August 22, 2017 Report Posted August 22, 2017 Yesterday, I watched the partial eclipse for a couple of minutes, then had to go back into a meeting. Apparently, Buffalo gets a full eclipse in 2024 and Toronto will be 90-95%, so that will be cool. Quote
Shawn Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Finally got around to watching the Luke Cage series on Netflix. Although not up to the same level as Jessica Jones or Daredevil it's still a rewarding show with some great characters. What I like best about these Netflix series is that each one has its own distinct vibe. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Burned through all of Season 2 of Last Chance U yesterday. Simply fantastic. Even better than Season 1. Quote
kinuta Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Narcos Season Three S3 is into the Cali cartel and is head and shoulders above the previous two Escobar seasons. Gripping, compulsive viewing. Quote
kinuta Posted September 8, 2017 Report Posted September 8, 2017 BBC Strike The Cuckoo's Calling Eps 1-3 Pretty good. Nicely downbeat feel with two well cast, charismatic leads who come across as real people and not the standard cut & paste pretty posers. Quote
