BruceH Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 First (double-length) episode of Season Six of "Adventure Time." It was great. Quote
Van Basten II Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 The series Apocalypse but this time about the First Great War, as griping and well documented than the series about the Second War. Quote
kinuta Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Rosemary's Baby remake episode 1 Why bother, is the question that first comes to mind. I almost felt sorry for the miscast Zoe Saldana. Mia Farrow was perfect as Rosemary, exuding a sense of impending dread even in the early parts of the film. Had a couple of obligatory gory scenes to appeal to 21st century sensibilities, and was quite watchable but it's an exercise in futility, some films must not, under any circumstances, be remade! kinuta Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Person Of Interest season finale. Great conclusion. POI has really grown into a formidable programme. Can't wait to see what happens next. Quote
Shawn Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Season finale week means I can go back and start watching several series that I skipped during the season because I didn't feel like dealing with commercials, hiatuses and other annoyances that go along with broadcast TV. These days I like to binge watch and having the entire seasons recorded means I can watch them on my schedule, not the damn networks. Castle Grimm Elementary Bones The Big Bang Theory Parenthood Quote
jazzbo Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Da Vinci's Demons, Season 2. Edited May 15, 2014 by jazzbo Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Mad Men. Season 6, I think. You know, the one where Don cheats on his wife. It's only just occurred to me why it's called Mad Men. Quote
xybert Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 Saturday morning, just watched Green Lantern, Adventure Time and Regular Show. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 Getting caught up on Fargo (FX series). Really enjoying it. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Caught up on Fargo now. Just about caught up with Da Vinci's Demons Season 2. Quote
Shawn Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Penny Dreadful - love it. Big Bang Theory - season 2 Quote
erwbol Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Getting caught up on Fargo (FX series). Really enjoying it. Lester's brother better call Saul. I thought Freeman's Lester was somewhat unappealing and unconvincing until his transformation into a 'predator' really started to get underway in episode six. Bob Odenkirk's Bill Oswalt felt like Bob Odenkirk dressed up as a police officer until last night he became a part of it all. And Collin Hanks should have never worked again as an actor based on his work in Dexter season 6, but is doing alright in this particularly limited role fit for a man with a limited amount of facial expressions at his disposal. A Lark Ascending Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) All very dark and eerie (Peaky Blinders without the attitude or alternative rock). Apparently lots of complaints about the sound - suspect it's the Irish accents; a recent drama set in Cornwall got a similar reaction. Must be the same buggers who voted UKIP last Thursday whining. erwbol Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) In The Flesh (BBC). The death returned but now they're cured. British zombies, also hard to understand, but perhaps the rotters's vocal cords aren't what they used to be. Or could all British be PDS suffering rotters? Edited May 29, 2014 by erwbol Quote
JSngry Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi2987787033 Somebody, please, watch this to conclusion. I'm still not sure it really happened. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Watched the first series a few weeks back and it was brilliant. This second is even more gripping. 5 down with the grand finale tomorrow. Quote
kinuta Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Happy Valley BBC 1 - 6 Superb, one of the best British crime thrillers I've ever seen. I think I've seen every major BBC and ITV cop thriller going back to Cracker, Morse and beyond, but I can't think of another that bowled me over so completely as Happy Valley. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 I assumed it would be something fluffy with Sarah Lancashire involved. Checked reviews and I'm intrigued. Have put on my rent-a-DVD list for when it comes out. Merci. Quote

duaneiac Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) I needed a little inspirational boost from the life lessons of Jerri Blank, so I've been re-watching Season 1 of Strangers With Candy.
