jazzbo Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I just take it as dished out if I have the time, and I don't do streaming so I still give the networks a chance. It's a good substitute for smypathetic company and Lord knows I can use that. Quote
JSngry Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 The opening episode(s?) of Emergency? Does it get any better as it goes along, or does it stay here? Quote
jazzbo Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 This week's Suits, Elementary and Vikings. . . . As well as this week's episode of my guilty pleasure, Millionaire Matchmaker. This show is so entertaining. Quote
JSngry Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 The opening episode(s?) of Emergency? Does it get any better as it goes along, or does it stay here? The early returns are in, and it does get at least a little better...but six seasons worth of better...hmmmmmmmmmmm..... Quote
jazzbo Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 This week's Community, with appearances by Vince Giligan, Gina Gershon and Paul Williams. Quote
erwbol Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 The Walking Dead shoots live little girls in the back of the head with a revolver, but Hannibal is still king for eating them. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I avoid both of those! Watched today the second episode of Resurrection, and last night's Comic Book Men. Quote
erwbol Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I don't know why I still watch The Walking Dead. It's been so awful so often, but I fast forward through every next episode to see where things will end up going. I guess this storyline is straight from the comics, but it was a sad highpoint in a miserable season. Hannibal is a favourite, though. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I watched the first few episodes and I just couldn't bear seeing one creative way to murder someone after another presented as some form of performance art. I actually liked aspects of the series a lot, but just couldn't bear watching the glorification of weird murder (how it struck me). At some point I may try it again. Walking Dead. . . again I might like the struggle to survive and the attemtp to keep human interaction and community together, but zombies. . . I've always hated zombies no matter how they have been dressed and re-dressed. I'll probably never watch that series. Finished watching this week's Once Upon a Time. That show is a hoot. Quote
erwbol Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I like watching Mads Mikkelsen as a perfect psycho. There is something fascinating for me about this Hannnibal. Being on the autism spectrum myself has something to do with this fascination, but despite my detachment and lack of empathy I'm of course not a psychopath. It's engaging and chilling at the same time. It's more about the characters than the gore freak show for me. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Well, that's the main aspect of the show I very much liked, I just couldn't get beyond those other elements. Perhaps on disc I can fast forward through all that, may try that at some time, I do see a lot of value in the show, just can't get past that vivid aspect. Quote
kinuta Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 The Good Wife No spoilers but a very major plot development. Don't miss it if you've been following the show. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 I went to bed instead of watching it, I was bone tired. Will watch it today. Quote
jlhoots Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 The Good Wife No spoilers but a very major plot development. Don't miss it if you've been following the show. Great episode. "Major" for sure. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Well, now we know which "The Good Wife" actor wanted out but was convinced to stay "one more season." Wow. I had no clue until Hunter Parish started eying the gun and seeing the lawyers laughing. Edited March 24, 2014 by jazzbo Quote
JohnJ Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 The Good Wife No spoilers but a very major plot development. Don't miss it if you've been following the show. Great episode. "Major" for sure. Love the 'Good Wife' but just finished season 3. No way to avoid this spolier in the twittersphere. Just started watching 'Ray Donovan'. Impressive so far, any fans here? Quote
jazzbo Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Meh. Was okay but could have been better. Not sure if I'm going to watch the next season or not. Edited March 25, 2014 by jazzbo Quote

Shawn Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Meh. Was okay but could have been better. Not sure if I'm going to watch the next season or not. I've seen 4 episodes so far, I'm enjoying it. I recently signed up for Amazon Prime and I've been catching up on series that aren't available on Netflix, Downton Abbey was the first one, this is the second. Edited March 26, 2014 by Shawn Quote
jazzbo Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 Downtown Abbey was a no go for me, didn't at all ensnare me, didn't live up to the hype. Black Orpahn I worked my way through the season but it kept getting more and more ridiculous and I got more and more irritated with the gay sidekick. . . I probably won't go for season two. Quote

I usually HATE stuff like Downton Abbey, in fact I fully expected to only watch the pilot episode...but for whatever reason it hooked me like a fish. I'm about halfway through season 3 at the moment. jazzbo Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 Hey, stuff happens. I made it through three episodes and bailed. Just started Californication Season Six. Quote
