After a very poor fifth season, Justified is back on track for its final season, the big showdown between Raylan and Boyd.

The Americans also going strong this season. Huge potential here, let's hope it's not waisted like it almost was on Justified (both on FX).

Just reaching the end of:

Utterly compelling.

First disc from Season 3 arrived from Lovefilm ready for next week.

Yeah, it's like TV crack, incredibly addictive.

This show has both changed and remained consistently good over the last two seasons. I've watched all seasons on broadcast.

Indeed, the the level of the show has remained constant throughout, no small achievement.

I've been a fan since it began.

Now well into series 3:

The_Good_Wife_Season_3.jpg

There are now so many threads emerging and re-emerging and everyone seems compromised. You just keep waiting for the next one to blow up.

Rather like the humour too - the judges are all eccentrics, some of the opposing council utterly kooky and the Brits...well, standard US depiction of Brits clearly based on a careful study of P.G. Wodehouse.

I love it.

I heard an Entourage movies was coming this summer so I went back and re-watched from season 1. Have the final episode of Season 8 left for tonight and I'll be done.

Making my way through Season 4 of The Wire.

Current season of House of Lies is like all the others. Entertaining with laughs but the whole Marty and Jeannie love/hate thing is tiresome.

I wanted to like this series more. The characters really aren't all that compelling and it just felt hard to give a hoot about some of them. Some of the storylines rely too much on fortuitous coincidence. It is a very "talky" program, but much of the dialogue sounds/feels authentic. I don't know that I'm in any hurry to see Season 2, though.

I've been watching collections of Midsomer Murders from our library system. The mysteries themselves are fairly mundane, but I find it very entertaining to watch dozens (actually hundreds over the course of the series) of great English character actors acting in small parts and often seeming to have a great time hamming it up.
