Guest Mnytime Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Has anyone seen the Commercial for Plastics that uses Eric Dolphy's Hat & Bread? Surprised the hell out of me when I heard the music from Hat & Bread coming from my TV. When I looked up I found it was a Commercial. Not sure what has surprised me more in terms of music in commercials. Zeppelin for Cadillac, Mingus for another Car commercial or now Dolphy. I am surprised anyone in the Ad business even knows Dolphy. I wonder what effect if any this will have on sales of Out to Lunch? Hopefully the Dolphy Estate made a nice profit off this. Quote

DrJ Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Yeah, I posted about this in another forum a few days ago (in the Dolphy thread I started in the Artists section), and was then told by another board member apparently we were ALL scooped by Aric Effron, who had posted about it before under some other name! It was certainly a total surprise to me to hear this, but kind of cool because it actually fits the commercial pretty well. Quote
