Well, I finally got sunmusic.com to cancel my order and authorize BidPay to credit my account. Of course, it took a threat to post negative feedabck here to get them to respond. It's been two weeks since I last heard from them. I threaten to give them a black mark and "voila", an E-mail in less than an hour.

So, I guess you could say that all's well that ends well, but I know I won't be using sunmusic.com again.

With Hiroshi closing his store, I only know of a couple of guys on the Steve Hoffman forums in Japan these days. It's a very difficult title to find, even in Japan.

I've had Darcy (Pig Whisperer on the Hoffman forums) try to find me Jazz CDs in Japan. If you're a member there, you could pm him and ask him to look around for you. However, he isn't cheap. Another Hoffman forum member who goes buy the name of yasujiro lives in Tokyo as well but he doesn't sell as much as Darcy.

just a footnote that 'tenor time' is out of print and very difficult to track down. when you do, expect it to fetch +/- 4500 yen (do the math).

very simple; order it from amazon.jp and should the seller not send it to north america, find a japanese contact who will receive it for you. again, 4500 yen plus postage.

Darcy is an excellent seller. His stuff is great but indeed expensive. Yasujiro is even more expensive but I'm not sure he's even selling anymore, he hasn't posted sale ads on the Hoffman board in ages.
