Che, sometimes its difficult fitting all the pieces into the jigsaw of life, who am I? where am I ?what is the meaning of life? why did god create Robbie? The ineffible ( how many f s in ineffible?)mystery of it all..........and well save the memories and nostalgia about punk till another day. bye for now.

The three CDs that I have played the most often are probably:

The Velvet Underground & Nico

Songs for Swinging Lovers (Sinatra)

Crescent (Coltrane)

It probably was Quadrophenia by The Who

But now that I have kids, this album is quickly heading for the top of the list.

It's pretty good, as far as childrens music goes! :P

It would be a toss between three albums I have bought when they were released and have been returning to all through the years:

- The Jazz Messengers at Cafe Bohemia (BN)

- John Coltrane (BN)

- Miles Davis Quintet 'Cookin'' (Prestige)

I still have the originals of these but purchased vinyls and CDs with added material on the first two. I have yet to hear a better 'Cookin' compared to the original vinyl.

Used to be I'd but something and play it again and again and again until I knew every note. Now I like to mix it up a bit more and play lots of differnet discs. Maybe it justifies how many I have.

Hard to compete now with the stuff I played in my youth.

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

Pink Floyd - Dark side of the Moon

Neil Young - Harvest

Led Zep 4

All were played a great deal.

Jazz in addition to

Miles Kind of Blue and

Trane's Blue Train and My Favourite things (likely to be at the top) I'd add are

Monk - Monks' Dream,

Silver's - Song for my Father, and

Bill Evans Explorations

I'd be guessing, but this is up there pretty high on the overall list ...

for jazz it would be Art Blakey - Moanin' ... I can't figure out how to get two pics in one post, though.
