jazzbo Posted May 2, 2005 Author Report Posted May 2, 2005 (edited) Why should she be mentioned in a Ziyi thread? I haven't seen much of her work, but she hasn't intrigued me as Ziyi's has. Edited May 2, 2005 by jazzbo Quote
kinuta Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 (edited) I wasn't meaning to alter the thread. However as Ziyi, Li, Maggie and director Zhang Yimou are all so closely connected I hope it is not too out of place. Edited May 2, 2005 by kinuta Quote
jazzbo Posted May 2, 2005 Author Report Posted May 2, 2005 I see they are both going to appear in "Memoirs of a Geisha." Quote

Adam Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 (edited) I finally saw Wong Kar-Wei's '2046" (at the Nuart in Los Angeles) and all I can say is that if you like Ziyi Zhang, you should see "2046." I make no guarantees whether you will like the film, but I did. It's certainly not like anything else out there. Edited August 8, 2005 by Adam Quote
jazzbo Posted August 8, 2005 Author Report Posted August 8, 2005 Yes, it's a very interesting film! The dvd is great, and it may be showing in a small theater here in town soon, and I'd love to see it again, this time in a theater. Ziyi is so beautifully bitchy in that one! I have "In the Mood for Love" (which is purportedly a better film) now in a beautiful new edition, but haven't sat down and watched it yet. Quote
