Daniel A Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 While looking for information on a Friedrich Gulda composition (mentioned in another thread) I came across this Japanese Kenny Wheeler discography: http://www.geocities.co.jp/MusicHall/1069/KWHP/home.html Stated as "incomplete", still it includes a lot of really scarce albums. Nice pictures, too. Quote
Guest che Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 I like his music a great deal and have a number of recordings, especially "Gnu High" with Jarrett, DeJohnette and Dave Holland. I also like the album "Angel Song" with Lee Konitz, Dave Holland and Bill Frisell. A very talented musician. Thanks for the link. Che. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Thanks Daniel, A good Wheeler discography is long overdue. Quote
sidewinder Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 (edited) Great to see the cover of the Sandy Brown 'Hair at its Hairiest' LP in this collection, I took the opportunity to update my avatar. The 'Hair' LP cover is one of the all-time favourites in my collection (bought from Oxfam, great find ). Strange that they don't have a cover for the 'Windmill Tilter' but they do have one for the rare Deram Skidmore ! Edited March 18, 2005 by sidewinder Quote
