BruceH Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Exploring space??? Ha! Don't worry, we can't even be bothered to maintain the Hubble telescope. Quote

take5 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Che, as usual, you just don't get it. Without the money in space exploration, we still have enough money for social reform. We have enough food to feed the world. We have the medical technology and resources to cure millions of people. The barrier is politics, not money going to space. If you think scrapping the space program would feed more people, than you have no idea how government works. Quote

If you think scrapping the space program would feed more people, than you have no idea how government works. We seem to differ on a number of issues. We do not seem to be able to feed the world, I would suggest that you read 'Stupid White Men' by Michael Moore for an account of the general cuts in public spending in the US. Medical technology costs a great deal, and there are many people in America who cannot afford the rising cost of health care in the US. You seem to be focused on one particular view, maybe there are other views and your tone is not helpful to continued discussion. Che. Quote
