wesbed Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I'm listening to Kind of Blue this evening (9:45PM). I haven't listened to the full album in a couple of years. It's just damn good. Quote
Free For All Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Interesting thing about the changes to All Blues- Most people play it like a regular blues, meaning since it's in G you would go to the IV chord in the fifth bar, which would be a C7. I think the "correct" chord there is actually instead a G minor 7 (or G minor 6). The bass ostinato at that point would support that. Not a lot of difference between a G minor 7 and a C7, but it's a subtle difference that changes the way one plays on the tune IMHO. Quote
Rosco Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 My favourite track on Kind of Blue is... ...er... ...whichever one I'm listening to at the time. As many times as I've heard it (and that's a lot! ) it still works its magic for me. Quote
Guest Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I voted for "So What", mostly because of the seven seconds from 6.23 to 6.30. The second place goes to "Freddie Freeloader", the third to "All Blues" and the fourth place to "Blue In Green" . Greetz, Sonny Quote
