037 Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Message to Adrian Ingram (last known to be playing in a blues band in England): Please contact your ‘Gibson L5’ publisher, Ron at Centerstream. Quote
Jim R Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Hey 7, always good to see you posting. I find this curious in a number of ways. I once corresponded with Adrian (one of my guitars was illustrated in the L5 book), but that was about ten years ago. Is Adrian known to visit this board? I wonder if there are plans to put out a new edition of the book (with decent photography). ... a blues band?! B-) Quote
Dan Gould Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Seeing this thread, I assumed that he is the "1ngram" who fills the Political Forum with views that make Johnny look like Jesse Helms (and its no surprise you'd miss him, Jim, as he posts in Politics at a rate that easily challenged Johnny's supremacy in that regard). ghost of miles Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 "Ingram" is Adrian Ingram? Hell, I've got his Wes Montgomery bio and didn't even make any connection, though I knew the author was English... Quote
ghost of miles Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Actually, it's not the same person, is it? Our "Ingram" doesn't seem to have ever posted about jazz guitar... seems inconceivable that he wouldn't if he were the same, and our Ingram hails from Aberdeen. I'm also assuming that it's a fairly common last name on the other side of the Big Pond. Quote

I've seen the "1ngram" name here a few times, and wondered at first if it might be Adrian, but only briefly. Besides the Wes bio, Adrian also wrote books on Gibson's L5 and ES-175 models. Quote
037 Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 Thanks, Jim. ghost's link ID's the gentleman in question. Don't know if he visits this board but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. Blues band--dunno, that's what I heard. "7" Quote
