couw Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I come from a country whose name is usually too long to fit on the map Nr 2 I see from the map that Armenia and Azerbaijzan also put their issues on the side and traded their respective ex-/enclaves. Quote
brownie Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 France, Europe Really? If you prefer France, old Europe Quote
Eric Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 (edited) very cool to see the European and Asian membership (although I have always been suspicious of those Antarcticans ...) wonder if the scales will start to tip as we drag our asses out of bed? Edited March 7, 2005 by Eric Quote

Yes, but the import taxes from Germany can - at least with Amazon's free shipping for orders starting with 20 Euros - be omitted. AND I get the VAT reimbursed, making everything 12.5% (or how high is that stoopidest and most unsocial of all taxes in Germany again?) cheaper. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 (edited) Since didn't see Pangaea as a selection, I said Norht America. In fact right here by that red dot. Edited March 7, 2005 by Hardbopjazz Quote
Ron S Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Since didn't see Pangaea as a selection, I said Norht America. In fact right here by that red dot. Why do you have a giant red dot in your front yard? Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 If you could zoom in, you would see it is blood and not a dot. Quote
Ron S Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 If you could zoom in, you would see it is blood and not a dot. Oh, OK. For a minute there I thought it was something to be concerned about. Quote
mikeweil Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 AND I get the VAT reimbursed, making everything 12.5% (or how high is that stoopidest and most unsocial of all taxes in Germany again?) cheaper. It is 16% - do you want to say there is no VAT in Switzerland? Quote
mikeweil Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I'm located at 8°26 East and 50°01 North, close to where the river Main flows in the Rhine - central Germany, that is. How about an amendment of the board software automatically placing a pin on a world map whenever a new member registers? Quote

It is 16% - do you want to say there is no VAT in Switzerland? Yes there is, but it's 5 or 6 or 7 %. Not sure if Amazon deducts all of it, or just the actual difference... never bothered to look that close, as I'm just glad to get a 7.77 Euro CD for less than 7 Euros, in the end Quote
maren Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Oops, I hit "view results" instead of "vote" -- as if I only live in cyberspace! Actually, a few blocks west of the East River in Manhattan... Quote
