DMP Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 It's something how we buy the same stuff over and over - I've had 6 different versions of "Kind of Blue" in the digital age, and 6 of "A Love Supreme." (This isn't counting the LP versions.) I've only bought 3 CD versions of "ROM" so far, almost conservative. Quote
JSngry Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 a good guess would be that it's the peacock alley, st. louis material. that stuff never was officially released. That would run counter to Sterojack's info, but it would also save some of us some money. Does Cadence still offer the Soulard CD of the Peacock Alley material? Quote

John L Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 (edited) Well, look at the bright side. At least Columbia isn't doing what Universal did with Coltrane. First release a complete box set of Coltrane's studio Impulse! recordings and then release each of the albums separately, although each with one or two tracks that somehow didn't get on the box. Then release a multi-disc Coltrane "greatest hits" collections with still a couple more new tracks. Edited March 3, 2005 by John L Quote
