Chuck Nessa Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 STUPID CHUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The point of the post was "supposed to be" the blues band story. Phillip Wilson was working for Otis Rush and hired a sub so he could work a session with the Roscoe Mitchell Quartet. This was not a gig (no money involved), but a session in the Reynolds Club at the U of C. The sub didn't show and his name is Thurman Barker. Thurman is a very fine drummer and friend, but I have never had the nerve to ask him about this. Quote
paul secor Posted March 6, 2005 Author Report Posted March 6, 2005 Otis Rush! I would haved loved to have heard that. I was guessing what blues musician it might have been. Even though he's a favorite of mine, Otis Rush never came to mind. Quote
